CNC WOODWORKING
Solid Carbide Spiral Router Bits for CNC Woodworking
Solid carbide spiral router bits deliver continuous-shearing action for industrial CNC routing. This helical geometry significantly reduces tool vibration and heat, producing a superior surface finish compared to standard straight bits.
Versatile Applications & Tool Construction
- Carbide & Spiral DirectionManufactured from sub-micron tungsten carbide, our bits are available in Up-Cut and Down-Cut configurations to precisely control chip evacuation.
- Target Operations:High-speed CNC routing, deep slotting, dadoing, and automated panel nesting.
- Target Materials:Solid woods, MDF, plywood, double-sided laminates, and plastics.

Tool Selection Guide: Choosing the Right Spiral Direction
To achieve optimal machining results, operators must select the correct spiral direction based on the material’s lamination and required chip clearance. Select your required geometry below:
Up-Cut Spiral Router Bits
Up-cut flutes lift chips from deep slots, mortises and solid-wood cuts.
View DetailsDown-Cut Spiral Router Bits
Down-cut flutes protect top veneers during shallow grooves in single-sided laminates.

Opposing flute directions protect both faces when routing melamine panels and plywood.

WALTER GRINDING
CNC Grinding
Our Walter machines can be used for both production and re-grinding, and show excellent performance in improving the high efficiency of producing the metal cutting tools. The Walter machine body has great deadweight and rigidity, it can effectively avoid the impact of vibration, thus ensuring high grinding accuracy. Combined with 24 pieces of grinding wheel in storage, our machines can meet the requirements of complex geometry structure and large-scale milling cutter production.

ZOLLER INSPECTION
Tool Measurement
Once we have finished the carbide end mill production, we will do a complete test on the tool Zoller, including every diameter, angle, and arc. All of them need to be checked by the program before passing to our QC.

Description
Technical Features & Advantages
Continuous Shearing : Helical edges maintain constant material contact. This minimizes tool chatter and delivers a smooth, tear-free surface finish.
Dynamic Chip Evacuation : The spiral geometry acts as a mechanical auger, rapidly extracting waste to prevent chip packing and allow faster CNC feed rates.
Sub-Micron Carbide : Premium high-density solid tungsten carbide ensures exceptional edge retention and an extended lifespan in abrasive materials like MDF.
Optimized Thermal Management : Efficient chip removal significantly lowers operating temperatures, protecting the cutting edge and preventing burn marks on the wood.
Working Principle of Spiral Flute Geometry
The fundamental advantage of a spiral router bit lies in its dynamic interaction with the workpiece material during CNC rotation:
- Continuous Engagement: The helical edge engages the material gradually, creating a continuous shearing action rather than a perpendicular impact. This reduces mechanical shock on both the tool and the CNC spindle.
- Auger Effect for Chip Evacuation: The spiral flutes function as a mechanical auger. Depending on the spiral direction, they actively extract wood chips away from the cutting zone. This prevents waste material from packing in the cut, which is the primary cause of friction-induced heat and premature carbide failure.
