Combined Up-Cut and Down-Cut Geometry
The opposing shear angles compress the material fibers toward the center of the cut. This mechanical action actively prevents chipping and tear-out on both the top and bottom surfaces of laminated or veneered panels.
Micro-Grain Solid Tungsten Carbide Construction
Manufactured entirely from sub-micron industrial-grade carbide. This material provides high wear resistance and maintains edge sharpness over extended production runs, even when processing abrasive composite boards.
Standard and Mortise Configurations
Available in standard formats for full-depth profile routing, and "mortise" formats with a shorter up-cut section. The mortise design is specifically used for shallow grooving or dadoing where the top edge must remain clean.
Efficient Chip Extraction
The spiral flute design facilitates consistent chip removal and heat dissipation. This prevents material burning and allows for optimal feed rates on CNC machining centers.
Working Principle of Solid Carbide Compression Router Bits
- As the bit rotates, the up-cut flutes draw material upward and channel it toward the down-cut flutes.
- The down-cut flutes then compress this material toward the center of the bit, effectively minimizing tear-out and splintering on both the top and bottom surfaces of the cut.
